Here, I really would love to share with you a story about a purse.

It happened fifteen years ago when I was about to go to college. My Dad had promised to present me something I like if I could be qualified for the admission into one of the universities in the Ivy League. Fortunately, I really made it. Just before the high school prom, I ran across a very beautiful Dior purse.

It is mainly black mixed with golden edges. It is made of canvas with leather trim. It is in an elegant shape decorated with antique silver stone hardware. With a closer look at it, I found its exquisite leather and fabric lining which attract me the most. It also has a bifold rear with two slit pockets and two card slots. It has two expanding compartments at the front with two buckles. I was totally like a fool staring at it. Then, I was told that it is a classic Christian Dior design with limited editions. This means I would probably miss a chance to get it if I did not buy it immediately. I became very excited and upset at the same time.

Rushing home, I told my Dad about it. To my disappointment, he told me he would have a business trip in the following days. I had been anxious through his business trip. I was happy to know that he will buy it for me when he finally got home. Unexpectedly, he was still kept tied up with his business and even could not come home for dinner sometimes. But he always told me he would try his best. It had been half a month since the first day when I saw the Dior purse. At last, my Dad brought me to the store where I found it after he finished his work at hand. To my total disappointment, the Dior purse in an antique design was gone forever. Instead, my father wanted to buy another one to make up for me. But I refused him in a fury. I began to hate him because he did not live up to his words.

Now as a mother of two sons, I truly understand how difficult it could be for a father or mother to raise their kids. I am now often tied up by my work either just like my father used to be. Meanwhile, my kids always put pressure on me by asking me to buy them some wonderful toys. Even though I do give them some toys, they would still feel disappointed.

Although I still feel sorry for missing that unique Dior purse, I will always remember my father’s endless and self-giving love for his daughter.

5. What made that special day, our wedding day so wonderful and amazing was that there was no wedding caterer and it was I who planned the whole event, which I was quite proud of. I asked my mum to be my maid of honor and we made the wedding cake together. On the day of a magic number we got together and the number is “23”. May it be coincidence, luck or bless, we got engaged and got married on days of the same magic number. The funny part is that it was on page 23 that I spotted my wedding gown while looking through the David’ Bridal book that I received earlier. I had almost forgotten about that dress and began to try on others until it was brought to me and rang a bell that it was the one that I’d seen on page 23. The second I changed into it I knew it was the one that I would wear on that special day. It felt so amazing and so peculiar, like it was fate or something, just like Josh and I are meant to be together. It was then that I knew everything would be fine and perfect. I chose the bridesmaids’ dresses myself. I made the right choices for they were so breathtaking on the wedding day. Not just some dresses that you see and you forget, these dresses are stunning.
